Principal’s Welcome

On behalf of our school community, I extend you a warm welcome to Fyans Park Primary School, where we all work together to nurture each student to ensure they reach their full potential in all aspects of life.

As a school of choice for families in our area, we are proud of the learning community we have created, that includes high levels of family engagement.

Our school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, underpin our commitment to providing our students with educational opportunities that enrich students’ academic, social and personal skills. I feel very fortunate to lead a group of highly dedicated and passionate teachers and education support staff who work tirelessly to maximise student achievement and ensure that the school motto of ‘My Best Each Day’ is brought to life on a daily basis in all classrooms.

We currently have 18 classes operating throughout the school that includes three Foundation classes and five classes each of composite 1/2s, 3/4s and 5/6s. Our learning program is further complemented by our specialists program consisting of Japanese, The ARTs (Dance, Drama, Music in odd years and Visual and Media Art in even years) Physical Education and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).

As part of the Performing Arts Program, a whole school production is staged biennially at Costa Hall with the involvement of both the school and wider communities. As part of the Visual Arts Program, an art show displaying works of art from each child in the school is undertaken in the alternating year.

Staff members are encouraged and supported to plan and work collaboratively to improve student outcomes and cater for different learning needs. The school displays a strong partnership between students, parents/carers and staff which is evident through an extensive range of community events occurring throughout the year with particular mention to our Annual Christmas Fair, held in late November.

The School/home partnership is highly valued and a vital part of education at Fyans Park Primary School. Parental involvement enables many educational activities to be undertaken that would otherwise be out of the reach of the school. In addition, parents have the opportunity to establish new friendships where the school can become a valued part of social life in the community.

Fyans Park Primary School is a community-minded school with strong community links, and is supported by a committed Staff, School Council, Families and Friends Association and Student Voice Team.

We pride ourselves on the open and friendly community atmosphere and our school is proud of what we offer. I invite new students and families from our local area to contact the school for further details or to arrange a tour.
